Tay Ninh, May 21, 2026 | At the TTCS Factory, AgriS (Thanh Thanh Cong – Bien Hoa Joint Stock Company, HOSE: SBT) received the EDGE Advanced international green building certification, presented by a representative of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. With this milestone, AgriS becomes the first company in Vietnam to achieve the EDGE Advanced certification for sugar manufacturing facilities and by-product processing.

AgriS has been officially recognized as achieving the EDGE Advanced international green building certification for sugar manufacturing facilities. The certification was issued on May 12, 2026, and formally presented at the TTCS Factory on May 21, 2026.
The award ceremony was attended by Mr. Shehryar Ali Shah – IFC Senior Country Officer and Head of the IFC Office in Ho Chi Minh City; representatives from certification body SGS and consultancy VILANDCO; and the leadership of AgriS's Production Center (ProC) and the TTCS Factory. Attendees also toured the plant's operational areas and green infrastructure features that contributed to the factory's international certification.
EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is a green building certification system developed by IFC to promote more resource-efficient buildings. The certification focuses on three core metrics: energy, water, and embodied energy in materials. The EDGE system has three levels: EDGE Certified, EDGE Advanced, and EDGE Zero Carbon. EDGE Advanced is designed for buildings achieving at least 40% energy savings, also known as "Zero Carbon Ready", representing a strong energy efficiency foundation for transitioning to lower-carbon operations in the future.
According to the issued certification, the TTCS Factory achieved 100% energy savings through biomass solutions utilizing bagasse and rooftop renewable energy systems, 39% water savings, and a 100% reduction in embodied carbon emissions from construction materials, significantly exceeding the expectations for the EDGE Advanced level.

AgriS’s TTCS sugar mill has achieved EDGE Advanced certification, meeting benchmark standards for energy efficiency, water savings, and the use of sustainable building materials.
At the ceremony, Mr. Shehryar Ali Shah, IFC Senior Country Officer and Head of the IFC Office in Ho Chi Minh City, shared: "AgriS's manufacturing facility is the first in the entire sugar industry in Vietnam to achieve EDGE Advanced certification. The results exceed the rigorous standards: 100% energy savings through solar and biomass, a 39% reduction in water consumption, and elimination of 100% of embodied carbon in construction materials. This achievement delivers environmental, economic, and social value to the company, while directly contributing to Vietnam's sustainable development goals."

The IFC representative highly commended AgriS’s operational efficiency and tangible efforts in advancing a circular green production value chain.
"The EDGE certification achieved by the TTCS Factory will serve as the benchmark model for us to scale and roll out across the entire ProC Production Center ecosystem of AgriS over the next five years, advancing toward AgriS's Net Zero 2035 goal and continuing to pioneer high-tech, sustainable agriculture in Vietnam." Mr. Tran Dinh Cuong, General Director of AgriS's Production Center (ProC), stated.

AgriS representatives highlighted the company’s sustainability-driven strategy and actionable commitments to fostering a modern, circular agriculture model.
AgriS is pioneering the integration of green building standards into the competitiveness of Vietnam's agricultural manufacturing sector - an industry that demands high resource intensity and continuous operational pressure. The EDGE Advanced certification continues the path of constructing facilities to international standards that AgriS has consistently pursued, including engagement with the criteria of LEED - one of the most prestigious green building certification systems globally. Experience accumulated through these standards has laid the groundwork for AgriS to accelerate its transition toward a more sustainable and efficient production model.

In May 2025, AgriS Building achieved LEED Gold certification, reflecting the company’s commitment to developing green buildings in line with international standards.
The EDGE Advanced certification of the TTCS Factory is the foundation for AgriS to continue expanding green operational standards across its production ecosystem, reaffirming its commitment to national and regional climate goals.
